We have an exciting post available in our art studio in Beckenham for a PRINT PRODUCTION ASSISTANT.
We are looking for a hardworking individual to run the production of our art studio, creating canvas and framed prints to perfection.
The work includes processing orders, stretching canvases, packaging and labelling correctly. Keeping the studio and gallery in order and assisting the resident artist where necessary. It is also essential this person is great with people, helping clients on the phone and in the gallery. This work can be physically demanding at times, some orders can be 100+ prints, and others a single framed piece.
We are a very small, friendly team, ideally looking for someone with experience that relates to this work, and is organised and hard-working.
This is a part-time position with an element of flexibility and a minimum of 24 hours per week, however the successful candidate will be able to work additional hours if needed during peak times, and will ideally be looking to grow with the business to take on additional work.
The successful candidate will have to be a team player who is happy to turn their hand to whatever is needed, as it is a small team, and it’s ‘all hands on deck….’ Full training and support will be given, but experience that relates to the position is a bonus.
Email us at email@example.com with your CV and a bit about yourself and why you are perfect for the job, along with a contact number.
Wanted for immediate start.

Bank holiday fun time again in London this weekend. After a fantastic opening night Thursday for Dan Pearce’s solo show Rare are enjoying a relaxing weekend. The sun may not be shining but there will still be lots of fun things to do and see in London.
Today was the last day of the Chelsea Flower Show which is the worlds largest Flower show to date. This week as always has shown us an unusual amount of talent and beauty including a beautiful array of floral dresses, . Every year the grounds of the Royal Hospital Chelsea are transformed into show gardens, inspirational small gardens and vibrant horticultural displays for the world’s most famous flower show.
The RHS Chelsea Flower Show is attended by more than 150,000 visitors each year. Tickets sell out quickly as it is a long awaited event. The show has become an important venue for watching emerging gardening trends. New plants are launched and the popularity of older varieties are revived. It’s the garden design equivalent of Paris Fashion Week and is staged in one of London’s most charming and affluent neighbourhoods.
A large portion of the work we have on display by Dan Pearce is of abstract flower landscapes although they are selling out fast you have until the 18th June to get yourselves down here to view his work.
Bank Holiday weekends in Brighton are what life is all about. This weekend the Rare crew will be heading down to the South coast to Brighton Town. Just an hour and a half train ride out of London and you are at the seaside. Brighton unlike most seaside resorts in the Uk has the funky feel of London filled with arts food and culture but with the added bonus of the sea. You can occupy yourself for hours shopping around the lanes, or if you prefer you can head to one of these festivals:
This year’s Foodies Festival starts in Brighton before taking off over the rest of the country. A fun day out with the chance to see Michelin chefs and top bakers. You can buy tasty treats from artisan producers, feast on street food from around the world, taste wine, champagne and craft beer and relax, enjoying the live music stage.
England’s largest Fringe festival kicks off this bank holiday weekend! Though Fringe doesn’t officially start until 6th May, throughout the bank holiday weekend there will be events across the city including Brighton’s Hidden Mysteries Tour, Bom-Banimals, Brighton’s Singing Barber Peter Joannou and more. Check out the website to catch these early starters.
The Artists Open Houses festival 2016 will take place in Brighton, Hove and surrounding areas over all five weekends of May, starting today. Over 60 new artists in Brighton, Hove, Ditchling, Rottingdean and the Ouse valley, throw open their homes and studios to bring you everything from sculpture and painting to jewellery, ceramics and textiles.
If you are enjoying yourself to much at the festivals to go art hopping, do not fear. Here at Rare we have some fabulous Brighton based artworks. Brighton Pavilion is one of our more classic images from B Town., but if you are looking for something a bit more fun and quirky check out Helter Skelter Vivid which is a fabulous image of the old fashioned Helter Skelter filled with iconic images of Brighton and the seaside, guaranteed to put a smile on anyones face.
This week marked the 90th birthday of our Queen. The occasion was marked with various celebrations in London and many other cities around the world.
In the United Kingdom, the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man and the United Kingdom Overseas Territories 900 beacons were lit. There is a long and unbroken tradition in England of celebrating Royal jubilees, weddings, coronations and special birthdays with the lighting of beacons – on top of mountains, churches and castle battlements, on town and village greens, farms, country parks and estates, and along the beaches surrounding our shores.
The Royal Mail have also marked the occasion with a new range of official stamps, souvenirs and gifts. Pride of place is an exclusively commissioned photograph of four generations of the Royal Family, each featured on a 1st class stamp. These beautiful images were photographed by Ranald Mackechnie in the summer of 2015 for Royal Mail, the specially commissioned Stamp Sheet features a family portrait of four generations of the House of Windsor: HM The Queen, HRH The Prince of Wales, HRH The Duke of Cambridge and for the first time on a Royal Mail stamp, HRH Prince George of Cambridge. The photograph was taken in the White Drawing Room at Buckingham Palace.
The perforations in the Stamp Sheet are positioned to create a postage stamp for each member of the Family.
The six Special Stamps celebrate HRH The Queen’s birthday with three stamps focusing on Her Majesty’s family life, and three honouring The Queen’s official role.
We have always been fans of her Royal Highness here at Rare as you can see by the fabulous Mosaic collection best of British., where we have a collection of images depicting her Royal Highness, the flag and of Course the Queen on a stamp.
This weekend sees the start of the annual Stewarts Law RCA hich started on the 8th April and will be on for the whole week until 15th April 2016, allowing you to get your hands on postcard-size artworks for £55 by RCA students, established artists, illustrators and designers, with all proceeds going towards the Royal College of Art Student Award Fund. The ‘secret’ of the sale is that, since the signature is on the back of the postcard, you won’t know for certain whose work you’re buying until you’ve paid for it. It has been known for people to pick up a Damian Hurst, a Tracy Emin, a Grayson Perry or even a Jarvis Cocker original.
Here at Rare we are huge dog lovers. With this in mind you will understand why we are becoming increasingly excited about some changes across London you may not have realised are happening. Many restaurants and bars are becoming a lot more pet friendly and not only friendly they are aiming their business towards are little/large furry friends. Recently we have witnessed the Cat cafes popping up all over London, Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium in Bethnal Green Road is so popular you have to book well in advance.
Tomorrow it will be all about the canines, dog lovers all across London will have the chance to take their dog to the pictures. If Sunday mornings are dedicated to walking the pooch than what better a place to walk them to than Wringer and Mangle Restaurant at The Basement, 13-18 Sidworth Street London 3SD to watch the showing of MY DOG TULIP. You can even buy your dog some pooch popcorn, doggy ice cream, all to be washed down with organic-doggy tea. Leaving your dog behind to go out for the day is slowly becoming a thing of the past as we have recently experienced the Dog Disco at M Restaurant, the dog gelato at Pet Pavilion and now we have doggy cinema. At Rare Gallery are super excited at this as we are all huge dog lovers as you must be able to tell by our popular pooch pictures. Our popular bulldog Atticus has been flying out of the door so we have a couple of new pop art versions on the website we know you will all love.
