Rare Art for a Rare Disease
Lynch Syndrome Uk is a charitable organisation that Amber-Jane Raab, the artist behind Rare Interior Art, has collaborated with to raise awareness of the disease and help people affected by this little-known health condition.
What is Lynch Syndrome?
It is a condition that increases the risk of many kinds of cancer. This condition is passed from parents to children. Families that have Lynch syndrome have more instances of cancer than expected. This might include colon cancer, endometrial cancer and other types of cancer. Lynch syndrome also causes cancers to happen at an earlier age. People with Lynch syndrome may need careful testing to look for cancer when it's small. Treatment is more likely to be successful when the cancer is caught early.
Working Together
Amber-Jane worked with a scientist on a unique project that was designed to create awareness of the disease and help in assisting those diagnosed with it, find treatments.
Charity Logo Design
As part of the awareness campaign, Amber created a mosaic of the logo, made up of hundreds of images of the people affected by the disease, making it more personable and real, so that people could make a connection with this.
This logo has been used worldwide to promote awareness of Lynch syndrome and Amber-Jane is now working on the committee to ensure that the website is easy to navigate and uses strong visual components to help people use it and find treatment.
